Jasmin has several years experience working with children, teenagers, and adults as they’ve navigated through various challenges including trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, disordered eating, and much more. Jasmin prides herself on being an inclusive counsellor and neurodiversity-affirming counsellor who has supported clients from various backgrounds including members of the LGBTQ2S+ community and BIPOC.

Jasmin strives to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space so her clients can openly explore their thoughts and feelings and learn new skills in order to create meaningful and lasting change at their own pace. Recognizing that therapy is a powerful yet difficult process for many people, Jasmin works diligently to maintain caring and respectful therapeutic relationships that empower and uplift her clients.

Jasmin is formally trained in and pulls from various evidence-based therapies to create tailored therapeutic plans that meet each client’s unique needs, preferences, and goals. Therapies used include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, NEDC Eating Disorder Core Skills training, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Additionally, she approaches her work from a person-centred and trauma-informed angle, which allows her to help clients understand how trauma may be impacting them in a personalized and empathetic manner.

Experience

Minou works with teens, and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, disordered eating, body image concerns, and major life changes. Whether clients are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply trying to better understand themselves, Minou aims to provide a supportive space where they can explore what’s going on openly and without judgement. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection, with a focus on helping clients feel heard, understood, and supported at their own pace. When working with couples, Minou helps partners improve communication, navigate conflict, strengthen emotional connection, and better understand one another’s needs and patterns.

Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Minou tailors therapy to each person’s unique needs, goals, and experiences. She values balancing practical tools and coping strategies with deeper conversations that encourage insight, growth, and self-understanding.

Training

Minou draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, somatic approaches, narrative therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and person-centred therapy. Her work is trauma-informed, collaborative, and flexible, recognizing that every client brings different strengths, experiences, and goals into the therapy process. Minou also has a background in sex therapy and working through an emotionally-focused lens when it comes to her work with couples.

Services

Minou is available to work with teens (10+), adults, and couples through virtual and/or in-person counselling sessions. Counselling services are provided in English.
